Protect your lone workers today
An automated lone worker protection system.
Send the Alert is the simple, easy and affordable lone working protection platform, which helps you monitor your staff while they are working alone.
The principle behind Send the Alert is to require your workers to respond to the system within a pre-defined time. If they don't respond to the system while a session is active, then an alert is raised so that help can be sent. Think of it as a dead man's switch for your lone workers.
Unlike other lone working protection systems, Send the Alert does not require your workers to use any special device, download any apps to their smartphone or have anything else fancy or technical (although we do have a smartphone app). All your lone worker needs as a minimum, is access to any working phone.
How Send the Alert Works
When you have someone who is going to be working alone, you can start a lone working session. Every session has a pre-defined check-in period (set by you and can be as little as 15 minutes), which means that if your worker doesn't check-in before the period expires, Send the alert will let you know your worker could be in trouble.
You don't need to worry about whether or not your lone workers will remember to check-in as, unlike some lone working systems, Send the Alert can be pro-active and will attempt to contact your worker just before their check-in period is about to expire. They can get a reminder by text message, or our system can call them up. All your worker needs to do is little more than respond to the text message or answer the call and press a few keys.
What is Send the Alert for?
If you employ people, then you have a legal responsibility to ensure that all your workers work in a safe environment. If you have workers who have to work on their own for a significant period and are not directly supervised, then those individuals are considered ‘Lone Workers’.
Send the Alert is a lone working protection platform which helps towards fulfilling your legal obligation to ensure that the people who are lone working for you are safe and gives them an automatic, fail-safe means of summoning help should they have an accident while working.
Send the Alert uses the ‘dead man switch’ principle, which means your lone worker must interact with the system on a regular basis in order to prove they are ok. If your lone workers fail to respond to the system, an alarm gets triggered.
