Benefits of Send the Alert
Simple and easy for everyone
Starting a new lone working session takes just seconds, select who is lone working from the list of users, where they are working from your list of locations, tick a few options which determine how the system will contact the user and click start. That's it!
Lone worker sessions can start straight away, or can be scheduled to start at a later time.
Send the Alert pro-actively reminds your lone workers to check-in, which helps reduces the chances of a false alarm caused by your lone worker forgetting to check-in. For your workers, Checking in is easy and can be done by simply replying to a text message, answering the phone, or logging into the 'My Session' web-app.
It takes just a few seconds for your lone worker to check-in, and can quickly get back to work.
The Send the Alert dashboard lets you see at a glance who is working alone, where they are and when they are due to check-in. Should a user fail to check in, the resulting alarm is clearly displayed on the dashboard.
Keeping in touch
Send the Alert keeps in contact with your lone workers by phone call and/or by text message.
During a lone working session, you can have a text message automatically sent to your lone worker's phone, allowing them to then check into their lone working session simply by replying to the text message.
When you have the phone call option enabled, then your lone worker will get a phone call from our automated system, which will ask them to check in. It will read a 4 digit code out to your user, and your user simply types that code back into their phone keypad. This ensures that they are alive and with it, and their answerphone hasn't picked up the call.
Users can also phone into the system, where they can start a lone worker session, check-in, and end a session.
There is also our 'My Session' web app which allows users to control their session from any internet enabled device. From there, users can start a lone worker session, check-in and end a session.
Getting the alerts to the right people
Send the Alert uses 'Alert Flows' which defines who gets alerted when a lone worker fails to check in, how they are alerted.
You can set up as many Alert Flows as you need. You could, for example, set up a flow for weekdays, and weekends. Or you could have work-flows set up depending on location. It's up to you.
Within each flow, you can set up a number of steps. Each step defines who gets alerted and by what method. That could be by email, a text message, or an automated phone call. There is even an option to select what time of say a particular step is followed, so you can have someone who gets alerted during the day, and another at night time.
Set up multiple alert flows, so the right people get alerted to take action should a lone worker have trouble.
